Good morning.An end is finally in sight to the administrative lockout at the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. The Joint Operating Committee has officially voted to pass a third proposed budget proposal following a persistent fiscal impasse that had temporarily halted payroll for local teachers and staff. Committee members have also formed a specialized bylaw committee to review voting requirements before the academic school year begins.Meanwhile, a North Carolina man has been sentenced to serve five to seven and a half years in prison for a drunk driving crash that killed a New Castle man. A Mahoning County judge handed down the penalty to twenty-five-year-old Robert Powell, who was convicted of aggravated vehicular homicide after driving under the influence and crashing into an S-U-V, killing sixty-two-year-old John Kulnis.And Youngstown police are continuing to investigate the cause of a severe two-motorcycle crash on Route four-twenty-two near the State Route seven-eleven bridge that left three people hospitalized, including one operator who remains in critical condition.For more news, download the radioNOVO app. I’m Codi Gaboff, radioNOVO News.
