State and local officials have secured funding for a new one-point-two-million-dollar "wet rescue" truck set to arrive this summer. The multi-mission engine features a five-hundred-gallon tank and can fight fires and handle rescues simultaneously, allowing the department to do more with fewer daytime volunteer firefighters.In regional legal news, felony charges of reckless burning and risking a catastrophe have been officially withdrawn against thirty-seven-year-old Corey Frantz of Erie. Prosecutors dropped the case following full financial restitution regarding a massive wildfire in Girard Township that destroyed multiple acres and property.And interstate traffic was heavily delayed following an early-morning semi-truck rollover on Interstate Ninety westbound near the eighteen-mile marker.
