High-Profile Arrests in Lebanon: Relative of Bashar Assad and Son of Drug Dealer Detained for Weapons and Drugs Possession
Lebanese authorities have arrested a relative of former Syrian President Bashar Assad and the son of a well-known drug dealer in northeast Lebanon for possession of weapons and drugs. Suleiman Assad, the son of Hilal Assad, a cousin of Bashar Assad, and Ali Zeiter, the son of Noah Zeiter, were apprehended near Baalbek. The arrests were made by the Lebanese army and officials on Friday.
