NFL Franchise Valuations 2026: Dallas Cowboys Lead the Pack with $16 Billion Valuation

The Dallas Cowboys lead the pack in the 2026 NFL franchise valuations, with a staggering $16 billion valuation. The Cowboys' revenue dominance sets them apart from the rest of the league, generating $1.3 billion in revenue during the 2025 season, well above the league average of $723 million. Following closely behind are the Los Angeles Rams, with a $14.5 billion valuation, showing a 36% growth from the previous season, outpacing the Cowboys' 28% growth.

The Rams' success can be attributed to their control over the economics of their stadium, SoFi Stadium, where they generated $950 million in revenue in 2025, the second-highest in the NFL. In contrast, the Los Angeles Chargers, who share the stadium with the Rams, lag behind with only $630 million in revenue due to being tenants in the stadium. The revenue disparity stems from factors like leasing suites and hosting non-NFL events, which significantly impact the bottom line.

Several teams are investing in new stadiums to enhance their revenue streams, with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders, Chicago Bears, and Kansas City Chiefs among those in the process of building new homes. The top five teams in the valuation rankings include the Las Vegas Raiders ($13B), New York Giants ($12.5B), and New England Patriots ($12.25B), showcasing the financial strength of these franchises.

The San Francisco 49ers have made significant strides, climbing to the sixth spot in the rankings, driven by their competitive football team and strong business operations. Despite not owning their stadium, the 49ers control the economics for football and have leveraged their market presence on the West Coast to command high prices for tickets, suites, and sponsorships.

On the other end of the spectrum, the bottom three teams in the valuation rankings are the Cincinnati Bengals ($8.55B), Buffalo Bills ($8.5B), and Arizona Cardinals ($8.4B). The Bills will be looking to boost their ranking with the new Highmark Stadium in the upcoming years. The NFL franchise valuations for the 2026 season reflect the financial prowess and strategic decisions of each team, shaping their position in the league hierarchy.
