Building a Legacy of Leadership: Heidi Foster's Impact at Crash Champions

Heidi Foster, the Senior Vice President of Operations-West at Crash Champions, oversees around 300 collision repair centers in 15 states. She focuses on leading and developing the organization's leaders and teammates, ensuring operational performance, sales, profitability, and talent development. Foster emphasizes the importance of connecting with the people in the organization, believing that they are crucial to the success of the business. She values setting clear expectations, holding people accountable, and recognizing great performance to build a strong leadership pipeline.

Foster initiated the Associate Service Advisor Program (ASAP) three years ago to create career pathways for individuals with little or no collision repair experience. The program aims to develop participants into successful Service Advisors by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge. With the support of leaders, trainers, mentors, and program administrators, ASAP has become a five-stage learning journey that has seen over 400 graduates with a 78% retention rate. Twenty-two graduates have become mentors themselves, contributing to the development of future participants.

The Women of Crash Champions (WOCC) program, founded by Foster, has grown from six women to over 500 members. Women in the organization participate in mentorship, development, and support, contributing to the overall success of Crash Champions. Foster's leadership philosophy focuses on creating opportunities, surrounding them with great people, and building a sustainable framework for success that does not rely solely on one individual.

Heidi Foster's commitment to developing talent, creating opportunities, and fostering a supportive community within Crash Champions exemplifies her dedication to building a strong and sustainable organization. Through programs like ASAP and WOCC, Foster is leaving a legacy of leadership that empowers individuals and promotes growth within the organization.
