Meet Pumpkin Spice: The Newest Spice Girl in Dunkin's Playful Campaign

Dunkin' has introduced a playful new campaign featuring a sixth member of the Spice Girls, Pumpkin Spice, portrayed by Rachel Dratch. In the ad, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell-Horner reflect on the group's success and Pumpkin Spice's quirky contributions, including a hit song called "Bumpin' Pumpkins." The orange-clad bandmate showcases her unique choreography before revealing she left the band to focus on lattes.

Dratch was thrilled with the concept of the commercial, finding it instantly humorous and reminiscent of an SNL sketch. She embraced the British accent for her character and praised the costume designed by stylist Michael Fusco for its comedic and diva pop star vibe. Filming with Bunton and Halliwell-Horner was a fun experience, as they were down-to-earth and easy to work with.

When asked which Spice Girl her SNL character Debbie Downer would favor, Dratch humorously considered Scary Spice or Posh Spice. She expressed her love for pumpkin spice beverages, noting that the taste of a pumpkin latte signifies the arrival of fall and brings back nostalgic memories of New England.

Dunkin' reintroduced its fall menu on August 19, featuring favorites like the Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte and the new Pumpkin Cloud Dunkalatte. To celebrate the campaign launch, Dunkin' offered fans a free medium PSSL with a qualifying purchase between 2 and 6 p.m. local time on September 8.
