US Southern Command recently announced that US forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a vessel linked to an Ecuadorian drug cartel in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The vessel was confirmed to be associated with the Los Choneros violent narco-terrorist organization. Following the interception, the individuals on board will be transferred to Ecuadorian authorities. The US forces proceeded to sink the vessel after clearing it and disembarking the crew. The cartel utilized the vessel as a refueling station, as per the US military's report.
