A 3.2 magnitude earthquake shook near Compton, California, about 6.1 miles north of Long Beach, at midnight on Sunday, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. The tremor hit the area at 12:13 a.m., with its epicenter located approximately 2 miles south-southeast of Compton at a depth of 8 miles.
