Chinese Lawyer Seeking Resettlement in Taiwan After Defending Underground Church
A lawyer from China who provided legal defense for an underground church in Beijing has escaped to Taiwan and is looking for assistance in resettlement due to increasing pressure from Chinese authorities on her law firm and colleagues. Ruth Wang, a partner at VDoor Law Firm, was involved in representing pastors and members of the Zion Church in Beijing starting from October 2025. Wang arrived in Taiwan on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, seeking refuge and support for her relocation.
