Ford Mustang Recall: Addressing Safety Concerns for 2024-2026 Models
Ford Motor is issuing a recall for 148,663 vehicles in the United States due to potential issues with driver power and headlight or windshield washing system function, which could impact visibility on the road. The affected vehicles include 2024-2026 Mustang models. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration highlighted that problems with the engine compartment wiring harness ground connections could lead to a loss of drive power or disable essential functions like the windshield washer system, headlights, air conditioning, and engine cooling fan, increasing the risk of accidents. Ford dealers will replace the engine compartment wiring harness ground terminals at no cost to the owners.
This recall comes after Ford previously recalled 91,198 U.S. vehicles in June because the daytime running lamps did not dim, potentially affecting other drivers' visibility and posing a higher risk of crashes.
