Beyoncé's B'Day 20th Anniversary Edition: Celebrating Two Decades of Iconic Music

Beyoncé is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her iconic second album, B’Day, with a special expanded edition that includes the original album, B-sides, Spanish-language tracks, and previously unreleased material. The release date is set for September 4, the same day the album was first released in 2006, with a deluxe edition featuring 27 tracks among the various formats available.

The anniversary campaign for ‘B’Day’ kicked off in July with the surprise release of “Morning Dew (Donk),” a track produced by Beyoncé and Pharrell Williams, co-written with The-Dream and DIXSON. This song offers fans a glimpse into the B’Day era and adds a direct link to the album’s original recording period in the anniversary collection.

The highlight of the anniversary editions is a four-LP set pressed on 180-gram “Bayou Blue” vinyl. This set includes “Morning Dew (Donk)” and other tracks like “Get Me Bodied (Extended Mix),” “Irreplaceable (Irreemplazable),” “Amor Gitano,” “Listen (Oye),” “Beautiful Liar (Bello Embustero),” and “Get Me Bodied (Mueve el Cuerpo).” The deluxe package also features a 60-page commemorative booklet and two double-sided collectible art prints.

Fans can also opt for more compact versions. A limited-edition two-LP set includes “Morning Dew (Donk)” and a 16-page booklet with unseen imagery, while a CD edition offers the song and a collectible booklet. The deluxe four-LP set is priced at $149.98, with the two-LP and CD editions available for $44.98 and $14.98, respectively. For more information on all versions, visit Beyonce.com/shop.

B’Day, released in 2006, followed Beyoncé’s debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, and spawned hits like “Déjà Vu,” “Irreplaceable,” “Get Me Bodied,” and “Ring the Alarm.” The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, shortly after Beyoncé’s 25th birthday.
