Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival: Olivia Rodrigo Headlines All-Female Lineup in Irvine
Olivia Rodrigo is set to headline the first-ever Daisy Chain Fields music festival at Great Park in Irvine, featuring an all-female lineup of artists like Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, Mitski, and The Breeders. The festival is taking place amidst concerns of high temperatures, with the weather expected to reach 93 degrees on Saturday. To combat the heat, the festival will provide hydration stations, cooling stations, shaded areas, and medical tents for attendees.
The event will feature two performance areas with no overlapping sets, allowing festival-goers to catch every act on the schedule. Other performers include Bikini Kill, Die Spitz, Eli, KATSEYE, Not For Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, and Santigold. Olivia Rodrigo is scheduled to close the festival on the Dandelion Stage from 8:40 to 10 p.m. Special guests like Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks will also make appearances.
Olivia Rodrigo expressed her excitement about the festival, emphasizing the all-female lineup and the charitable aspect of the event. 100% of the net proceeds from the festival will go towards charities supporting women and girls, including organizations like Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, and Planned Parenthood. The Daisy Chain Fields festival will utilize various areas of Great Park, including the city-owned amphitheater and additional park space for the main stage. The event is expected to accommodate up to 45,000 attendees, making it a significant cultural event for Irvine. Councilman William Go, chair of the Great Park Board, expressed excitement about bringing the festival to the city and creating a world-class cultural destination.
This festival marks Olivia Rodrigo's continued philanthropic efforts in support of women and girls. Through her Fund 4 Good initiative, launched in 2024, Rodrigo aims to support reproductive rights, education, and initiatives addressing domestic violence.
