Lennox Residents Arrested at LAX with 11 Kilograms of Fentanyl: Details and Charges
Two individuals, Miguel Angel Tuz-Noh and Anthony Olvera, both residents of Lennox, were arrested at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for possessing a bag containing approximately 11 kilograms of fentanyl. Tuz-Noh, an LAX employee, and Olvera were charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. They were arrested on August 19 and appeared in court on August 21, where they were released on $10,000 bond pending their arraignments on September 17. Law enforcement observed Tuz-Noh and Olvera exchanging narcotics in an airport bathroom before detaining them and finding the fentanyl in a duffle bag carried by Olvera. If convicted, the defendants could face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The Drug Enforcement Administration and Los Angeles Airport Police are investigating the case.
