Omaha Public Schools Discontinue Use of Electric Shock Gloves for School Resource Officers
Omaha's largest public school district has decided to discontinue the use of gloves that can administer electric shocks by police officers. The superintendent, Matthew Ray, made the request to halt the program after learning about the gloves just a week prior. The school resource officers, who are police assigned to the schools, will no longer utilize these gloves. This decision was made just before the start of the new school year.
