Subway Safety Concerns: Rise in Assaults on the Rise in NYC Subway System
A senior citizen was pushed onto the subway tracks at Rockefeller Center station in Manhattan by a stranger in an unprovoked incident. Despite suffering a separated shoulder, the 72-year-old man managed to climb back onto the platform. The attack occurred on the uptown platform for the B, D, F, and M trains around 3:50 a.m. The victim was then transported to Mount Sinai West hospital in stable condition.
