The iconic drummer of the renowned rock band ZZ Top, Frank Beard, has passed away, as confirmed by TMZ. Frank's death occurred on August 17 after receiving care in hospice due to serious health problems. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed.

Frank's health issues led to the cancellation of ZZ Top's concert at the Hollywood Bowl on August 5. Frontman Billy Gibbons mentioned the band was facing significant challenges and asked for fans' understanding during this difficult time. Drummer Michael Monahan had been filling in for Frank at recent performances.

Having been a member of ZZ Top since 1969, Frank played a pivotal role in the band for over five decades, alongside Billy Gibbons and the late Dusty Hill. He contributed to all 15 of the group's studio albums and played on hit songs like "La Grange," "Tush," "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "Sharp Dressed Man," and "Legs." ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
