Liberia Agrees to Accept 1,200 Third-Country Deportees from the United States

Liberia has reached an agreement with the United States to accept up to 1,200 third-country deportees as part of the Trump administration's efforts to discourage illegal migration. The West African country will welcome the deportees over the course of a year, with the initial group of 20 set to arrive on Thursday, according to Liberia's Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah.
