The "Choosin' Texas" singer shared highlights from her Texas shows, prompting Drake to comment "Goated pen" with a pen emoji, garnering over 4,000 likes. Fans quickly suggested a collaboration between the two artists in response to Drake's comment.
Ella Langley showcased her admiration for Drake and Lil Wayne by lip-syncing to their 2011 hit "HYFR (Hell Ya F–king Right)" on TikTok. Despite being known for her country music, Langley's fans appreciated her rap skills, with one fan joking about her being "Country by profession, Young Money by heart."
While Drake has not delved deeply into the country genre, he has experimented with singing over an acoustic guitar on the track "Rusty Intro" from HABIBTI. On the other hand, Langley has a rap collaboration with BigXthaPlug for the Platinum-certified song "Hell at Night," which reached No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2025.
