Von Miller Signs with Dallas Cowboys: A Homecoming Story

Von Miller recently hinted at joining the Cowboys by posting a photo of himself in a Cowboys jersey with a "Shhh" emoji. It seems like his prediction has come true as Adam Schefter of ESPN has reported that Miller has agreed to terms with the Cowboys. Miller shared a picture on Instagram wearing a No. 40 Cowboys jersey, adding fuel to the speculation.

Growing up in DeSoto, Texas, near AT&T Stadium, Miller has strong ties to the area. He also made a name for himself at Texas A&M before embarking on a successful NFL career. Recently, he has been seen working out near the Cowboys' team facility in Frisco, indicating his interest in joining the team.

With an impressive 138.5 sacks over 14 NFL seasons with various teams, including the Broncos, Rams, Bills, and Commanders, Miller brings a wealth of experience and talent to the Cowboys. Despite playing a limited number of defensive snaps last season, he managed to record nine sacks, his highest since 2021.

Having won two Super Bowls with the Broncos and Rams, Miller adds a winning mentality to the Cowboys, who have not reached an NFC Championship Game since their last Super Bowl victory in the 1995 season. His addition addresses a crucial need at outside linebacker in Christian Parker's 3-4 defensive scheme, potentially strengthening the Cowboys' defense for the upcoming season.
