Rod Stewart Pauses Farewell Tour for Coronary Stent Procedure: Updates on Recovery and Return to Stage
Sir Rod Stewart has had to put a pause on his “One Last Time” farewell tour due to a coronary stent procedure. The singer had to cancel a few performances, including one in Cleveland and another in Cincinnati, as well as earlier dates in Las Vegas and San Diego. Following a routine coronary stent procedure, Stewart is now recovering well and has returned to his normal activities. However, on the advice of his doctors, he will take the next four weeks to recuperate fully before returning to the stage. Unfortunately, this means he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.
Stewart, who is 81 years old, was set to perform until September 3 in North America, including a residency in Las Vegas and shows in Mexico. Despite his disappointment at missing these shows, he is looking forward to getting back on stage and entertaining his fans again soon. The Grammy Award-winning artist, known for hits like “Maggie May” and “Tonight’s the Night,” has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice.
