Recall Alert: Raw Beef Imported from Argentina Recalled Due to Lack of Import Reinspection

A recall has been issued for approximately 29,628 pounds of raw beef imported from Argentina due to a lack of required import reinspection upon entering the United States. The products, distributed to businesses in Florida and Texas, were identified during routine inspection activities by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). No illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled beef, which was produced in Argentina between May 15 and May 20, 2026, with use or freeze-by dates ranging from September 15 through September 20, 2026.

The recall covers various boneless beef cuts packed in cardboard boxes, including "Top Sirloin Butt," "Eye Round," "Topside Cap Off," "Flat," and "Knuckle," all bearing the Argentinian establishment number "EST. N° OF. 2025" and shipping mark "26644-AA." These products were distributed to distributors and retailers in Florida and Texas. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected products and should either discard them or return them to the place of purchase. There have been no confirmed reports of illness or injury associated with the recalled beef.

FSIS conducts recall effectiveness checks to ensure that companies notify customers and remove affected products from the market. Retail distribution lists will be posted on the agency's recall website when available. For questions about the recall, consumers can contact Corte Argentino USA LLC General Manager Eial Kaplun at 786-350-5805 or [email protected]. Food safety inquiries can be directed to the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854, and consumers can report problems with meat, poultry, or egg products using the agency's online Electronic Consumer Complaint Monitoring System.
