NCT 127 Unveils Energetic Music Video for 'Piñata' from Upcoming Album BLINGY
NCT 127 has unveiled a new chapter as a five-member group with the release of their energetic music video for the track "Piñata." The song is a preview of their upcoming seventh studio album, BLINGY, set to be released on August 24. The album will feature nine tracks and showcases NCT's experimental sound, blending rock guitars, funky bass, and breakbeat percussion to create a unique hip-hop vibe. The video follows the members of NCT 127 as they navigate the streets of Seoul, portraying them as fearless fixers taking on challenges.
To celebrate the album release, NCT 127 will headline KCON LA on Friday, giving fans an early preview of BLINGY. Additionally, the group will host the "NCT 127 7th Album [BLINGY] Comeback Live Party" on August 25, where they will perform all the songs from the album and share behind-the-scenes stories. This album marks a new era for Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan as they release their first album as a five-member group, with Doyoung and Jungwoo currently serving in the military.
In a previous interview with Billboard, the group discussed their experience working as a smaller group after Tael's departure in 2024. They emphasized the importance of careful decision-making in selecting songs for their album WALK., which debuted on the Billboard 200.
