Ontario Couple Sentenced for $265,000 Taylor Swift Ticket Scam: Details and Outcome

An Ontario couple is set to be sentenced on Oct. 6 for defrauding numerous individuals in a $265,000 Taylor Swift ticket scam. Denise Tisor and David Blake admitted guilt in the case, with Tisor pleading to defrauding the public and Blake to possession of property obtained by crime. The couple sold tickets to Swift's 2024 concerts in Toronto to 107 victims, some of whom had purchased the passes well in advance for Christmas gifts. When the victims tried to access the tickets on the concert dates, they were unavailable, and requests for refunds were met with false claims of theft by a third party. Tisor and Blake used the funds for online gambling and cash withdrawals, with Tisor attributing her actions to a gambling addiction.
