One Philly HBCU Week 2026: Lincoln Financial Field Hosts Exciting Two-Game Showcase

Lincoln Financial Field is set to host an exciting two-game showcase during One Philly HBCU Week 2026, featuring four Historically Black Colleges and Universities football programs. The event will kick off with Virginia Union University facing Lincoln University on Friday, Oct. 30, followed by a matchup between Delaware State University and Norfolk State University on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The highlight of the weekend will be the coaching rivalry between former Eagles teammates DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick, who will lead Delaware State and Norfolk State, respectively. The two teams previously met at Lincoln Financial Field in the 2025 "Battle of the Legends," drawing a large crowd and showcasing the rich traditions of HBCU football.

Norfolk State will serve as the home team for the 2026 rematch, while Lincoln University, located in Chester County, will be the designated home team for the opening game against Virginia Union. Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, a proud HBCU graduate, expressed excitement for the expanded weekend, which aims to celebrate HBCU athletics and attract fans from across the country to Philadelphia.

"One Philly HBCU Week 2026" will kick off with the Virginia Union-Lincoln matchup on Oct. 30, followed by the highly anticipated coaching showdown between Jackson and Vick on Halloween. Tickets for both games will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
