Earthquake Strikes Frazier Park: 4.2 Magnitude Tremor Rattles Kern and Los Angeles Counties

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit Frazier Park early Sunday morning, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake occurred at approximately 3:38 a.m. with its epicenter located about 1.4 miles southeast of Frazier Park at a depth of 13.1 km. Shaking was felt in a wide area spanning from Kern County to northern Los Angeles County. Reports of light shaking were received from Bakersfield, Tehachapi, Santa Clarita, Lancaster, and Palmdale.
