Jenney Bitner's Inspiring Journey: Overcoming Stage IV Melanoma with Resilience and Innovation
Jenney Bitner and her family were looking forward to their annual trip to visit her mother in San Diego. However, during the trip, Bitner fell ill and was eventually diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma that had spread to her brain. Despite the challenges, she underwent surgery to remove the tumor and started aggressive treatment. Due to the risks of immunotherapy for her unborn child, Bitner had to deliver her baby early via C-section. Following the birth of her son, she underwent a second brain surgery to remove the remaining tumor. With the support of her family and medical team, Bitner began immunotherapy and showed remarkable progress, eventually being declared free of the disease in October 2020.
