Kia Telluride Recall: Addressing Fire Hazard in 462,869 Crossovers

Kia America is issuing a recall for 462,869 Telluride crossovers in the US due to a potential fire hazard caused by the front power seat motor overheating. The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the recall, citing the risk of a fire while the vehicle is parked or in operation. The issue may arise from a stuck power seat slide knob or an improper recall repair, leading to the increased risk of a fire. To address this concern, dealers will install an electronic fuse assembly at no cost to the owners.
