Thomas Rhett, a Hendersonville native, was honored with a star on the Music City Walk of Fame in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony took place ahead of his performance at GEODIS Park on July 9 as part of The Soundtrack of Life Tour with Niall Horan. The event was attended by various guests, including the CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, Deana Ivey, artist Jordan Davis, and Rhett's family.
During his speech, Rhett expressed gratitude to his parents, wife, children, and manager for their unwavering support throughout his career. He reminisced about the moment he decided to pursue a career in music at the age of 19 and the challenges he faced along the way. Rhett also praised his wife for her constant support and encouragement, getting emotional at times during his speech.
In his message to his younger self, Rhett emphasized the importance of staying grounded, not stressing over things beyond one's control, and having a broad definition of success. The induction ceremony marked Rhett as the 113th star on the Music City Walk of Fame, recognizing his contributions to Nashville's musical heritage and global impact through his music.
With 25 No. 1 hits under his belt, Rhett's latest album, "About A Woman (Deluxe)," features collaborations with various artists, including Lanie Gardner, Blake Shelton, Teddy Swims, and Tucker Wetmore. The album includes chart-topping songs like "Beautiful As You," "After All The Bars Are Closed," and "Ain't A Bad Life" featuring Jordan Davis. The Soundtrack of Life Tour, spanning over 20 cities this summer, showcases Rhett's musical prowess and diverse collaborations.
Following the induction ceremony, Rhett interacted with fans and took photos along the Music City Walk of Fame, a tribute to artists who have shaped Nashville's music scene. Established in 2006, the Walk of Fame serves as a bridge between downtown Nashville and Music Row, celebrating the city's rich musical heritage and the artists who continue to make a mark in the industry.
