Tragic Events Unfold at Electric Forest Festival: Missing Man Found Dead, Newborn Baby Discovered in Portable Toilet

Michigan State Police have confirmed that the body of a 28-year-old man who went missing after the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Mich., was discovered in a wooded area near the event. The man, Jerard Jackson, was reported missing on June 29, and his body was found near his parked rental car. Earlier that morning, state troopers responded to Jackson's campsite after he reported a criminal incident involving a friend, but after an investigation, they found no incident had occurred at the festival.

Jackson left his cellphone and personal belongings behind and his rental car was found in the Rothbury area with his wallet and keys inside. His body was later found in a nearby wooded area, and officials believe he died by suicide. The police are still investigating the incident.

Additionally, the body of a newborn baby was discovered in a portable toilet on the festival grounds on the last day of the event. Michigan State Police are awaiting the final report from the medical examiner to determine the cause of death of the baby, who was described as a "neonate." No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and investigators are still searching for the woman who gave birth at the festival.

As of now, there is no information on the cause of the infant's death, their race, gender, or health at the time they were found. The police are continuing their investigation, and no suspects or witnesses have been identified.
