UK Imposes Sanctions on Russian Individuals Involved in Chemical Weapons Development
Britain has taken action by imposing sanctions on nine Russian individuals and entities for their involvement in the development of chemical weapons. These weapons were allegedly used in the assassination attempt on opposition leader Alexei Navalny and the attack on a former spy in England. The sanctions were announced on the same day that the U.K. condemned Russia's aggressive behavior towards Royal Navy vessels in the Arctic. In response to these actions, the U.K. has taken a firm stance against those responsible for such dangerous activities.
