Idaho Mother Charged with Murder of 18-Month-Old Twins Amid Vaccine Controversy

An Idaho mother has been charged with the murder of her 18-month-old twins after blaming childhood vaccines for their deaths. Andrea Shaw, 23, was arrested by the Boise Police Department and faces two counts of first-degree murder in Payette County, Idaho. The twins, Dallas and Tyson Shaw, were found dead on May 1, 2025, leading Shaw to partner with the anti-vaccine charity Children’s Health Defense to protest their deaths.

Children’s Health Defense, formerly led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., collaborated with Shaw in a lawsuit against the American Academy of Pediatrics, alleging that the twins died eight days after receiving their 18-month vaccines. The lawsuit claims that the pediatrician dismissed concerns about a family history of adverse reactions to vaccines and administered hepatitis A, influenza, and DTaP vaccines to the twins on April 23, 2025.

The following day, the twins were brought to the St. Luke’s Emergency Room with severe symptoms, and the treating physician documented the diagnosis as a "post-immunization reaction." Shaw and her partner also discussed these claims in a podcast hosted by the lobby group founded by RFK Jr. Despite Shaw's anti-vaccine stance, the indictment against her alleges suffocation as the cause of death.

The Payette Police Department launched an investigation into the twins' deaths on May 1, 2025, after responding to a 911 call reporting a possibly deceased child. The twins were found dead in a shared bed at their residence. While the department has not confirmed suffocation as the cause of death, Shaw's lawyer maintains that the vaccines were to blame.

Shaw's attorney, Joe Filicetti, continues to believe that the twins' deaths were vaccine-related. The case remains under investigation, and further details may emerge as the legal process unfolds.
