Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest Returns to Coney Island for 250th US Birthday Celebration

Nathan’s Famous annual hot dog eating contest is set to return to Coney Island this Saturday, coinciding with the United States’ 250th birthday. The event, now owned by Smithfield Foods, will feature reigning champion Joey Chestnut despite his recent legal troubles. Chestnut, who holds the men's record, will compete alongside Miki Sudo, the women's record holder, in the iconic competition where participants have 10 minutes to eat as many hot dogs and buns as possible. The event, organized by Major League Eating, will take place in front of the original Nathan’s Famous restaurant in Coney Island, New York. The women's competition will start at 10:45 a.m. ET, followed by the men's competition at 12:30 p.m. ET.
