A Walk on the Moon: Off-Broadway Musical Preview and Cast Details
Previews have begun for the Off-Broadway debut of the musical A Walk on the Moon, based on the 1999 film of the same name. The show is currently running at The Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre until August 22. Directed by Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller, the musical features a book and additional lyrics by Pamela Gray and music and lyrics by AnnMarie Milazzo. Josh Prince serves as the choreographer.
The cast of A Walk on the Moon includes Talia Suskauer as Pearl, Max Chernin as Marty, Sam Gravitte as Walker, Andréa Burns as Lillian, Sophie Pollono as Alison, and Oscar Williams as Ross. Other cast members include Andrew Faria, David R. Gordon, Megan Kane, Caroline Pernick, Becca Suskauer, Michael Tacconi, Leo Caravano, Reid Gardner Clarke, and understudies Tucker Gold, Ellie Schwartz, Richard Spitaletta, and Jodi Bluestein. The casting was done by Merri Sugarman of the TRC Company.
In addition to the live cast, stage and screen star Tovah Feldshuh makes a recorded appearance in the musical. Feldshuh's voice is heard as Mrs. Fogler, a role she portrayed in the original film.
