Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez are set to star in Illumination's upcoming original animated film, Not Alone, scheduled for release in April 2027. Following the success of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and the anticipation for Minions & Monsters, Illumination is gearing up for another hit with this new project. The film, directed by Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson, and Jonathan Del Val, will feature Chalamet as Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic, and Gomez as Fran, a brilliant astro-botanist. When the two are brought together to work on a revolutionary plant-fueled rocket, their lives take an unexpected turn when three adorable aliens seek refuge in Joe's home. Voiced by Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jamie Demetriou, the aliens are on the run from officer Zandro, voiced by Brett Goldstein. The star-studded cast also includes Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris. Directed by Eric Guillon, the film is produced by Chris Meledandri and is set to hit theaters on April 16, 2027.
