Remembering Judith and Wylie Sheldon: A Tragic Loss for the San Francisco Art Community
A couple from California, known for their support of the San Francisco art community, was tragically found dead in their vehicle on Interstate 5 near Redding. Judith Sheldon, 84, and Wylie Sheldon, 86, were discovered unresponsive in their Jeep Compass by a patrol officer. Despite efforts to revive them, both were pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheldons were prominent figures in the arts scene, with Judith serving on the board of the San Francisco Silent Film Festival and Wylie practicing law until his retirement in 2008. The circumstances surrounding their deaths, which occurred on a scorching hot day, are still under investigation. Autopsy results are pending to determine the cause of death.
