Close Call Incident at Logan Airport: Investigation Underway After Delta and American Airlines Flights Nearly Collide

Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, is currently under investigation for a potential close call incident that occurred on Saturday. A Delta Air Lines flight was cleared to land while an American Airlines flight was taking off. The incident took place around 11:30 a.m. The Federal Aviation Administration reported that the crew of Delta Air Lines Flight 2351 had to execute a go-around maneuver because another aircraft was departing from an intersecting runway. Air Traffic Control audio recordings revealed that the American flight had already begun its takeoff when the Delta pilot decided to initiate a go-around. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of this incident. The investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
