Daveigh Chase, the former child actress known for her roles in popular movies and TV shows, has passed away. Her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, confirmed that Daveigh died from meningitis and a blood infection that led to septic issues and ultimately caused her body to shut down. She had been hospitalized in Los Angeles earlier due to malnutrition.
Daveigh rose to fame with her voice role as Lilo in Disney's "Lilo & Stitch" and Chihiro Ogino in the American version of "Spirited Away." Horror movie fans will remember her as Samara Morgan in "The Ring," a role that earned her an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain. She also had a recurring role in the HBO series "Big Love" and appeared in various other films and TV shows.
