Former Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan Denied Motion for Reconsideration in Obstruction Case

A federal judge recently denied former Milwaukee County judge Hannah Dugan's motion to reconsider her conviction. U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman determined that Dugan did not meet the necessary burden for reconsideration. Dugan's defense had requested either an acquittal or a new trial. In December, Dugan was found guilty of obstruction for trying to assist an undocumented immigrant in evading federal agents at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. If sentenced, Dugan could potentially receive up to five years in federal prison and a fine of $350,000.
