World Cup Performance Analysis: Sweden Tops Rankings, France and Qatar Shine, and 10 EU Countries Compete
We have analyzed the performance of all 48 participating countries in this year's World Cup across various categories. Sweden emerged as the winner, followed by France, Qatar, Uruguay, Norway, New Zealand, and Switzerland, who also performed well. Among the participants, 10 are EU countries.
Initially, we considered each country's FIFA ranking, with France leading the pack in April. Following France were Spain in second place and Argentina in third. New Zealand held the lowest rank at 85th, making them the least ranked team in the tournament.
Subsequently, we assessed the countries based on their gross domestic product (GDP) per capita using World Bank data from 2024. This data provided insights into the economic standing of each nation participating in the World Cup.
