Deliveries can arrive in as fast as half an hour and follow FAA guidelines with obstacle-avoidance sensors.
Wing drones can carry packages up to five pounds, while Zipline drones in the Dallas-Fort Worth area can handle up to eight pounds. The service is accessible to customers within approximately six to ten miles of a participating store. Eligible items range from groceries to electronics, with popular items including eggs, ice cream, pet food, fresh fruit, ribeye steaks, and Xbox controllers. Walmart+ members can enjoy free drone delivery for a limited time, while non-members may pay $20 per order.
