Madonna's Confessions II – The Film: A Visual Journey Through Music and Celebrities

Madonna has unveiled a new visual project titled Confessions II – The Film, which is connected to her upcoming album of the same name. The short film made its debut at the Tribeca Festival in New York and is now available globally on YouTube. Directed by TORSO, the project features a star-studded cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Sabrina Carpenter, Julia Garner, Kate Moss, Richard E. Grant, Shygirl, and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon.
This visual project is a continuation of Madonna’s iconic Confessions on a Dance Floor era from her Grammy-winning 2005 album. The film showcases the first six songs from Madonna’s upcoming album and follows her as she is pursued by a group of robot-like women armed with cameras. From an apartment to a forest dance party, Madonna takes viewers on a journey filled with unique visuals and celebrity cameos.
Madonna’s Confessions II – The Film captures various scenes of the singer in different settings, including driving a car, visiting a nightclub, and attending a dance party in a crowded bathroom. The bathroom sequence is said to feature significant celebrity appearances and hidden Easter egg-style cameos. The film concludes with Madonna returning home as the party continues, leaving fans intrigued by the visual storytelling and artistic elements.
Premiering at the Beacon Theatre during the Tribeca Festival, Madonna participated in a post-screening discussion with the directors. The online release of Confessions II – The Film coincided with the singer’s surprise performance in Times Square to celebrate Pride Month. Presented in collaboration with Grindr, the event featured Madonna performing new tracks from Confessions II alongside classics from Confessions on a Dance Floor, delighting fans who gathered in Manhattan for the special occasion.
