Residents in the Tampa Bay area experienced shaking as a result of a significant earthquake in Cuba. The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 6.4-magnitude quake located about 73 miles west-northwest of Mantua, Cuba. People in Pinellas, Polk, and Hillsborough counties felt the tremors around 2 p.m. Fortunately, the Tsunami Warning Center confirmed that there is no tsunami threat to the U.S. east coast, Gulf states, or the eastern coast of Canada.
