Coast Guard Investigative Service Releases New Footage in Search for Missing American Lynette Hooker
The U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service has shared new footage from their search for missing American Lynette Hooker. They conducted a four-day search in the Bahamas to gather any potential leads, bringing back the dinghy Lynette and her husband Brian were boating on before her disappearance in the Sea of Abaco.
During the search, specialized resources like divers, remotely operated underwater vehicles, drones, and a cadaver dog were utilized to aid in the investigation. Lynette Hooker went missing in April while on a boating vacation with her husband in Hope Town, Bahamas.
Brian Hooker claimed that Lynette fell overboard into the Sea of Abaco during rough seas, with him resurfacing while she vanished. The dinghy involved in the incident was transferred to U.S. custody from Bahamian authorities for further forensic examination.
The Coast Guard Cutter Margaret Norvell, stationed in Miami, was deployed for the search mission. The Coast Guard Investigative Service is spearheading the investigation, which covers a range of federal crimes, including fraud, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and homicides.
