A significant fire broke out at the Cottage Park Yacht Club in Winthrop, Massachusetts, destroying twelve boats in the early hours of Friday. The incident occurred at 3 a.m. on Orlando Avenue near Boston's Logan International Airport. The fire, believed to have started from gas on the water, quickly spread from one boat to another. Firefighters from Winthrop and Boston worked together to extinguish the flames using water and foam. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the fire. The incident did not disrupt operations at Logan Airport. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
