Mob Boss Grandson Carmine Gotti Agnello Arrested for Assault in East Norwich
The grandson of the late mob boss John Gotti was arrested in East Norwich for an alleged assault. Nassau police responded to a domestic disturbance on Mill River Road, where Carmine Gotti Agnello was involved in a verbal argument with a 29-year-old woman. The argument turned physical as Agnello slapped, punched, and choked the victim, also breaking her cellphone. The victim called the police, leading to Agnello's arrest the next day. He faces charges of assault, criminal mischief, and criminal obstruction of breathing.
This incident comes after Agnello was previously sentenced to 15 months in jail for COVID relief fraud. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges at First District Court in Hempstead. Federal prosecutors have stated that his previous sentencing should not be affected by his recent arrest.
