Ariana Grande Drops New Single 'Hate That I Made You Love Me' from Upcoming Album Petal

Ariana Grande has recently dropped the first single, "Hate That I Made You Love Me," from her upcoming album Petal. The track, produced by Ilya and Max Martin, features Grande reflecting on a past relationship where the other person may have had stronger feelings for her. An official music video directed by Christian Breslauer is set to premiere on June 1 at 8 a.m. PST.

While details about Petal are scarce, Grande has revealed that the album was executive produced and co-written by herself and Ilya. She described the record as a departure from negative attachments and a writing experiment to allow listeners to interpret the songs in their own way. The album is set to be released on July 31 via BabyDoll/Republic Records.

In addition to her music career, Grande has been busy with other projects. She recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of her album Dangerous Woman by releasing "Knew Better Part Two," a fan favorite that didn't make the final cut. Grande's previous album, Eternal Sunshine, was released in 2024. She is also set to kick off the Eternal Sunshine Tour in Oakland on June 6 and will star in the film Focker In-Law later this year.

Grande's schedule shows no signs of slowing down, with a return to the stage in the West End revival of Sunday in the Park With George in 2027. Fans can look forward to more music and performances from the talented pop star in the coming months and years.
