Primary Run-Off Day: Democratic and Republican Races in Texas
Today, Julie Johnson was meeting with voters at the Oak Lawn Library during the primary run-off day. Johnson is competing against Colin Allred for the Democratic nomination for U.S. House District 33. In another race, Omar Narvaez is up against Katelyn Logie for the Democratic nomination for Justice of the Peace, Prct.5, Place 2. Texas House Minority Whip Venton Jones is also in a race with Amanda Richardson for legislative District 100. Statewide races on the Democratic side include Sen. Nathan Johnson and Joe Jaworski for attorney general, and Vikki Goodwin and Marcos Isaias Velez for lieutenant governor. On the Republican side, voters are deciding between Atty. Gen. Ken Paxton and Sen. John Cornyn for the U.S. Senate candidacy, and Rep. Chip Roy is competing against state Rep. Mays Middleton for the nomination for state attorney general.
