2024 Toyota Tundra Recall: Engine Failure Risk and Remedies

Toyota has issued a recall for nearly 50,000 trucks, specifically the 2024 Tundra vehicles with a V35A engine. The recall is due to potential engine failure caused by debris from the manufacturing process contaminating the engine and leading to a main bearing failure. This could result in an engine stall and loss of power, increasing the risk of a crash. Approximately 43,566 vehicles are affected by this recall, with an estimated 1% having the defect. The remedy for the recall is currently being developed and will be performed free of charge once available. Owners will receive notification letters about the safety risk by July 6, 2026. If you have any questions, you can contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
