Emergency Response at South Ocean Boulevard: Assessing Injuries and Ensuring Safety

A commotion near the stage area on South Ocean Boulevard in Atlantic Beach led to multiple individuals being assessed for injuries in the early hours of the morning, as per Horry County Fire Rescue (HCFR). HCFR teams were dispatched at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday to respond to the incident. Working alongside law enforcement, they identified and evaluated 19 individuals. Fortunately, none of the injuries were deemed life-threatening during the initial assessment. Three individuals were taken to the hospital for further treatment, and there was a possibility that others may have sought medical attention on their own. Due to the high number of patients, a mass casualty incident was declared.
