Honda has announced a recall for 59,887 Prologue and Acura ZDX vehicles due to potential issues with the rearview camera system. The recall affects certain 2024 and 2025 models that may display a blank or distorted rearview camera image. Owners will receive notification letters about the free replacement of the rearview camera, with expected mailing date on July 6, 2026.

The recall includes 44,199 Honda Prologue vehicles and 14,688 Acura ZDX vehicles. Honda estimates that only 5% of the recalled vehicles may have the defect, but the repair will be applied to all vehicles in the campaign. Honda has informed the NHTSA that certain 2024 and 2025 models may have a faulty rearview camera system, which has been rectified in the latest 2026 Prologue model. The Prologue was introduced to the market in March 2024 and has become one of the top-selling EVs in the US. It is currently the only EV model offered by Honda in the US.

Affected vehicle owners will be contacted regarding the repair, which will be carried out by dealers at no cost. The rearview camera system will be replaced by dealers, and owners are advised to follow the instructions in the notification letter to schedule the repair. This recall highlights the importance of addressing potential safety issues promptly to ensure the continued safety and functionality of the vehicles.
